Gum disease, other name is: Periodontal disease

 If you have a disease in the gums, you are not alone.Approximately 80 percent of adults in the United States have some form of  the disease. It varies from a simple inflammation of the gums, called gingivitis,a serious disease that results in bone lesions.In gingivitis,the gums are red and swollen.They bleed easily. Most people can reverse the table with the daily brushing and flossing and regular visits to the dentist.The untreated gingivitis can lead to periodontitis.Will take off from the gums and the teeth are small pockets that become infected.Not treated,gum and the connective tissue that provides support for the teeth are destroyed.
