Dental implants
Dental implants are fixed which have many advantages in terms of comfort, aesthetics and functionality.
Dental implants, prostheses fixed
The implant is inserted into the jaw bone where it replaces the natural root.
It can answer many cases, it lacks one or more teeth or a series of adjacent teeth, if Edentulism post (no last molar), absence of almost all teeth or completely toothless jaws.
Only the dentist implantology will be able to determine from the medical examination, examination and clinical tests (blood, panoramic shots and reverse cellular surgical guide, scanner …) the introduction of a dental implant is possible.
The main benefits of dental implants:
* Aesthetics: A dental implant is, so to say a double of the natural tooth.
* Fixed Prosthesis and sustainable.
* The adjacent teeth are healthy and steady spared.
* Very good tolerance (bio).
The technique
Ella was developed in the 1950s by a Swedish surgeon and based on the establishment of an artificial titanium root in the bone, where it set a fixed prosthesis.
This intervention takes place in three stages:
* Implementation of dental implants: under local anesthesia, the practitioner incises the gums and prepares housing in the bone. Then he inserts the screws or dental implants, gum and closes the left to achieve bone healing. This phase of waiting, known as "foster", aims to enable healing of the bone around the implant is osseointegration.
* Laying the cornerstone of healing after a variable period of six weeks to six months depending on the case, it is verified that the dental implant is osteo-integrated (welded to the bone). If so, the implant continues the sequence therapy is to be a pillar of healing.
Under local anesthesia the gum is incised to allow the updating of the dental implant. Pillar titanium will be screwed into the implant. This allows linking dental implant as a first step to a provisional prosthesis. And also allows the gums to heal around the structure which will bring the final prosthetic material.
* Establishment of the final prosthesis: a footprint is taken to visualize the future and achieve permanent prosthesis laboratory. Once completed by the prosthetist, the prosthesis is ultimately tested by the practitioner, which, if satisfied, the seal or screw.
It should be noted that when the initial reviews indicated a bone deficit on the area to implement some surgical techniques can be proposed (bone grafting, filling the sinuses, etc.)
